Daruma

...(J)=founder of ch'an(Pinyin)=zen(J)=z/s/ce(Nauatl)=one, although said to stem from Mahayana Buddhism. the red robe of Daruma, his hairy visage, relates him to Ueueteotl Xiuhtletl, the ancient fire deity. the way his doll is made reminds one of taking the marrow out of a bone, harking back to cave carving techniques, e.g., Daruma(J)=D/T/Tlalomitl(N)=bone/omitl of the earth/tlal. the time at which Daruma rises, the 5th/6th c. AD, Eurasia was busy with mythic syncretism, adjusting the old religions to promote new beliefs. .....Dar/Tlal uma/omitl(N). ch'an(Chinese/Pinyin)=chane(Nauatl)=owner of house/inhabitatnt of a region,=chantli(N)=house/residence/country/patria(sp). .....although Daruma's legs fell off from meditative atrophy, i.e., tlalomitl(N)=bone of earth, one can pursue finer meaning by Daruma=Tlaloma(N)=tlalli oma(N)=Land hunted/fished by net, if meditation can be considered active search, does it contradict the nomad spontaneity of Zen?, e.g., noma/nomatka/nomatzinco(N)=still/always/forever/the same/spontaneous,=no matlatl(N)=my net. well, ma/oma(N) doesn't contradict the stillness of the hunt, or its unpredictable nature.
